Monday Marketing Motivation | New Approaches to Business and Life

As we look to life after the pandemic, many people are reflecting on deep, personal questions about how to live. Those questions include reflecting on how we work. Below I share some of my favorite resources that I discovered in the last week to help guide your explorations.

Inspiration *Mapping Personal Values to Professional Ambitions

The ZigZag podcast is my favorite podcast. Manoush Zomorodi is the host (she’s the host of Ted Radio hour, so you might be familiar with her.) In the newest season, Manoush has created a project that walks listeners through six steps. By the end, they should be able to map personal values with professional ambitions. Take a listen here and start to assess and evolve your career in more fulfilling ways.

Business *Seth Godin on Leadership

Many of us are rethinking work in the U.S., where we work, how we work, and how to respect and honor one another’s humanity in a work setting. The last year has been hard for so many of us and this hardship has uncovered the ways that traditional business and leadership approaches are broken and need to be revised. In Seth Godin’s latest post, he discusses the role of enrollment vs authority as an evolved way to lead. It’s a great post and does a world of good for leaders to think about how to motivate people toward a common goal.

Client Highlight *How to Build Slam-Dunk Effective, High-Touch Onboarding Programs

Our client TaskRay is hosting a webinar this week on the topic of high-touch onboarding. TaskRay’s VP of Customer Success and Support will share her decades of experience helping clients to build high-touch onboarding programs that support long-term retention and revenue goals. If you’re interested in how to improve retention and reliable revenue at your company, register for the webinar here.

Marketing  *The Roadmap to a Great B2B SaaS Marketing Organization

A couple of weeks ago we hosted a webinar with our client Honcho to share insights and discuss the first phase of the roadmap to building a new B2B marketing organization. If you missed the discussion, you can watch the recording here.
